FA22: YOGA II: 36791
The style of yoga that we will be practicing is based on the individual’s internal experience (it’s all about you!) The physical practices and online assignments are directed at increasing your awareness, building an understanding of key yoga philosophies, and developing conscious action. Yoga 2 focuses on application of yoga elements of pranayama (breathing), vipasana (meditation), energetics, sound, and ritual and application for emotional and psychological balance. There are no prerequisites for the Yoga 2 course, although completion of Yoga 1 is highly recommended. This course will meet during the 2nd 8-weeks of the semester.

The Science of Mechanical Ventilation
Understanding the science of mechanical ventilation is dependent on a thorough understanding of gas physics, pulmonary physiology, pulmonary development and how that is associated with changes in lung mechanics. These modules are part of a flipped classroom that will cover: 1- Gas physics 2- Pulmonary development 3- Pulmonary mechanics 4- Basics of Mechanical Ventilation 5- Patient-Ventilator Interactions 6- Disease specific considerations 7- Niche mechanical ventilation modes
