“My Personal ORPHE Biography” Assignment

There is likely a reason, or reasons that you have chosen to major in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Human Ecology (ORPHE), or to take this class. My personal and professional experience tells me that such a choice is often a result of experiences we have had earlier in life. For this assignment, write (and illustrate as you see fit) a short biography that documents at least three experiences you have had that have pointed you in this direction.

For each of the three experiences, please describe the experience, including what the experience was as well as where, when, and why you engaged in that experience. Also, please describe how that experience influenced your decision to select ORPHE as your field of study.

In addition, please include a photograph of yourself engaged in a favorite outdoor recreation activity. Write a brief description regarding the photograph. Explain where the photograph was taken, what the activity is, and why you enjoy it. Submit the photograph as a separate jpeg file.

This assignment is due by 11:59pm on Monday August 31. Please submit your work through Canvas.
