- Check your schedule: You can look at your schedule in the Student Center Links to an external site., then follow the instructions below as if you are interpreting the browser friendly schedule. For example, if the class lists a specific date and time and the location is ARR, then it is likely an in person class. If there is a specific date and time, but the location is Web, then it is synchronous online. If the day and time is blank, and the room is Web, then it is asynchronous online.
-
- Final Exams: With the information that we have at this time, if the courses are 100% online asynchronous, the final exam information will be provided by the instructor. For other courses, more final exam information will be made available as the start of the semester grows closer. Information will be updated in the Final Exam Schedule Link Links to an external site. and/or be provided by your instructor
- Searching Courses. IU provides three different versions of the schedule of classes to search for IUB courses:
-
- Public Course search Links to an external site.– set the institution, term, then look for filter box marked “mode of instruction” and set it to your preferred mode. You can also hid all closed courses. For more information about modes, see section 1 above. You may need to set some additional search parameters to narrow down the search so that you do not get too many results. The search is by individual class or section component, so you may get results that list a discussion component but is missing the lecture component.
- iGPS Links to an external site.: iGPS course search will allow you to either enroll, add to shopping cart or add to plan. Look up a specific class you are interested in and click on the class name. Then, look for the “other” box to the right of the instructor’s name. If tthe class has a time and date and the location is ARR, then it is in person/face-to-face. If the class has a time and date, but the location is Web, then it is synchronous online. If the class has time and date as ARR and location as Web, then it is asynchronous online.
