Find labs that interest you!
Take time to look through the Faculty profiles Links to an external site. and Labs Links to an external site. to see what research is currently ongoing.
If you have interest in joining a lab please check the Lab website for instructions on how to apply.
We also have some Tips for Applying.
Psychology and Neuroscience majors can conduct research with faculty in biology, chemistry, cognitive science, kinesiology, gender studies, medical sciences, and other areas. Typically research outside of the PBS department is not eligible for PSY Supervised Research credit. You can potentially still earn research credit if the outside faculty member's research is related to psychology or neuroscience. Meet with an academic advisor for more information about how to appeal for PSY research credit by special permission.
If you are interested in only volunteering be sure to reach out to labs for more information. Some labs do prefer students register for course credit (even if it is it just for a few hours a week).
The University and The College of Arts and Sciences also provide additional Research Programs. Click here Links to an external site. for more information about ASURE, STARS, IFLE or REU.
