Each link under 'How do I...' goes to a separate page containing a detailed description. The information under 'Answer' is a short overview.

Note: all actions described below are to be taken in the Genius Links to an external site. site, unless another website is noted.

How do I...	Answer
create my IU guest account? (required for access to Genius and to all courses)	go to https://ams.iu.edu/guests/CreateGuest.aspx Links to an external site., fill in the requested information, click 'Account Create' button $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ open e-mail from ithelp@iu.edu, confirm account as instructed.
create my Genius account? (I have an IU guest account)	go to the Genius site: https://iuhs-genius.indiana.edu Links to an external site. $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Student Login' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ complete Genius account set-up form $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Submit'
create my Genius account (I had an account in the old SIS, Dragon)	go to https://bl-vpue-spydr.ovpue.indiana.edu/apps_test/genius-migration Links to an external site. $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ login using your Dragon SIS credentials (how you normally logged in to Dragon) $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ follow the given instructions.
enroll in a course? (I have my Genius account)	go to https://expand.iu.edu/browse/iuhs Links to an external site. $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ select course $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Add to Cart' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ check IU Guest account verification box (under 'Checkout') $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Checkout' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click Make a Payment.
enroll in a course? enroll in a course through Genius?	IUHS Diploma students only, click 'Request Courses' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ choose 'ongoing' if required $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ choose desired course(s) from the drop-down menu $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Register' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ view Genius 'Course Confirmation' screen showing course(s) $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click Make a Payment.
request to be in the Diploma program?	click 'Apply to the IUHS Diploma Program $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ wait for processing (2-3 business days) $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ return to application page, view application status.
drop from Diploma program	click 'Contact School' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ write message to IUHS requesting to be discontinued from the Diploma program. (Or e-mail iuhs@iu.edu, or call 800-334-1011)
drop a course?	click 'Drop a Course' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Request new drop' link $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ use 'Course' drop-down menu to select course to be dropped, use 'Reason' menu to select most appropriate reason $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ click 'Save' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ once request is approved, course will no longer appear in 'Academic Snapshot'.
view my transcript?	click 'View Transcript' in navigation bar at left.
view a grade?	click 'Gradebook' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ select course, then view grade.
view my progress towards course completion?	click 'Academic Snapshot' (third link down in second group of links at left)
view my progress towards diploma completion?	click 'Course Plan'
add a guardian to my account?	click 'Contact School' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ write message to IUHS to request addition of guardian. (Or e-mail iuhs@iu.edu, or call 800-334-1011)
add a guardian to my account that already exists in Genius (for a sibling, for example)	click 'Contact School' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ write message to IUHS to request addition of guardian. Please mention that the guardian already has a Genius account. (Or e-mail iuhs@iu.edu, or call 800-334-1011)
login as guardian?	Parents/guardians can login at https://iuhs-genius.indiana.edu/ParentLogin.aspx Links to an external site.
find the time-out date for a course?	click 'Academic Snapshot' $\Rightarrow$ $\Rightarrow$ time-out date is included along with pacing information for each course.
