SP21: PRE-YOGA: 24869
Pre-Yoga is designed as an introduction to yoga. The focus of all practices will be to help you explore the different components of yoga and develop internal awareness of what works for YOU. Students will learn the about the history of yoga, ancient concepts from yoga philosophy as well as how to practice safely. The goal of this class is to provide an introduction to yoga and for each individual to identify key elements of yoga that best support optimal functioning.

SP21: YOGA I: 22831
No previous yoga experience is necessary. This is a great class for beginners! The style of yoga that we will be practicing is based on the individual’s internal experience and increasing awareness for conscious action. Yoga 1 focuses on an introduction of the basics of yoga asana (movement), pranayama (breathing), vipasana (meditation), and their application for physical and emotional balance. Guided yoga practices will include components of physical postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), and mediation (vipasana). The goal of each practice is to develop self awareness, paying attention to what is happening in your body, breath, and mind. You are focused on how the practice feels in your own body, breath, and mind.

SP21: YOGA II: 21450
Yoga 2 is designed as more than a simple exercise class. Each class meeting will include a focused practice including physical postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), and mediation (vipasana). The focus of this style of yoga is on the individual’s internal experience and increasing awareness for conscious action. There are no prerequisites for the Yoga 2 course, although completion of Yoga 1 is highly recommended. Students will participate in weekly classroom or virtual practices, complete supporting online lessons, and complete an out of class yoga studio visit. Class assessments will measure understanding of key yoga principals and explore personal experience of yoga practice.

SP21: YOGA II: 26005
The style of yoga that we will be practicing is based on the individual’s internal experience and increasing awareness for conscious action. Yoga 2 focuses on application of yoga elements of pranayama (breathing), vipasana (meditation), energetics, sound, and ritual and application for emotional and psychological balance. There are no prerequisites for the Yoga 2 course, although completion of Yoga 1 is highly recommended. We will also dig into the history of yoga and philosophy in Yoga 2.
