Difference of the concept map with the mind map

To close, I would like to explore some of the differences between concept maps with mental maps.

At first glance, both serve to organize information. We can also see that both are hierarchical. Although they are not drawn the same, they share this characteristic. Remember that although mind maps have a central node from which different branches emerge, they could also be drawn as a hierarchy.

The concept map is based on logical thinking and is, therefore, more rigid than the mind map. For its part, the mind map is freer and more organic.

The main difference between the two types of diagrams is that the concept map is much more rigid. You have to follow the rules that were presented in the article to be able to create it. Instead, the mind map is much more informal and organic.
